Welcome! We're glad you stopped by and hope you enjoy meeting the boys of Journeyman! We are a small hobby kennel located in Santa Barbara, California. Our dogs are English-type Labrador Retrievers and demonstrate the gentleness, intelligence, and friendliness of the breed. Our chocolates are known for their wonderful temperaments, deep chocolate coats, beautiful heads, dark brown eyes and thick otter tails. The Journeyman Labradors are equally at home in the conformation ring, in the field or lying at our feet while our young grandchildren play nearby.

We have owned and loved dogs since childhood, adding our first labrador in 1996. Our dogs are members of our family...companions who bring joy and laughter to our lives and live with us in a house built in the 1880's in Mission Canyon, a rural area near the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. We are close to the beach, near many trails and parks, and spend much time outdoors with the dogs. Santa Barbara is a dog friendly community and many establishments welcome the Journeyman boys. We are fortunate to live here and feel very blessed.

We are members of the Central California Labrador Retriever Club, Channel Cities Kennel Club, High Desert Labrador Retriever Club, and the Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California. We value the friendships we've made and support we've received over the years.
