It's Hammer Time! This handsome boy is full of mischief and yet always eager to please. Hammer brings substance, a solid topline, a dark chocolate coat and eye, powerful movement, an awesome pedigree on both sides, and a charismatic personality. He is AKC champion pointed and just needs his majors to finish. Hammer is standing at stud to approved bitches. Fresh chilled and frozen available.
Hammer started a new career in dog sports in 2017 when he began training and earned his Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog Novice, and Barn Hunt Instinct titles. During 2018 he continued working toward Obedience and Rally titles for American Kennel Club - earning the Novice and Intermediate Rally titles, as well as Beginner Novice and Comanion Dog obedience titles, but also began working in Scentwork, Barn Hunt, North American Sporting Dog Assocation sports, Draft and Carting, and Dock Diving.
At the 2018 United Kennel Club "California Classic", Hammer won Best of Breed and multiple Gun Dog Group placements to finished his Championship! He qualified for three legs in Rally Obedience level 1 to complete the URO1 title, which earned him two UKC Total Dog Awards. Ham passed the UKC Socialized Pet Obedience Test with all "outstanding" marks to earn him the designation of "outstanding neighbor", SPOT-ON Hammer!
Now, at 10 years of age and beyond, Hammer continues to excel in sports. He earned the Temperament Title with flying colors awarded by the American Temperament Test Society Inc. In AKC Scent Work, he is nearing completion of his overall Master Scent Work title. Hammer was awarded Best of Breed for high point Labrador in Trailing and Locating Level 3 in the North Amerian Sporting Dog Association registry. He has been invited to the NASDA Invitational for 2021!
As of January 2021, he remains one of only three Labradors in the Barn Hunt registry to achieve both Barn Hunt Champion x5 and Crazy 8 Platinum 3 titles. He was the first of the breed to achieve the Barn Hunt Senior Elite title. Hammer earned the Novice Draft Dog titles from both the American Bouvier de Flanders Club and North American Working Bouveir Club, and plans to complete the Novice Mastery titles as he works toward Advanced and Brace Team title with his grandson.
Hammer makes quick friends and fans of everyone he meets. He brings great enthusiasm, intelligence and eagerness to do anything asked of him - a wonderful trait of the versatile Labrador Retriever!
